United Kingdom: Consultation opened on UK digital identity and attributes trust framework (2nd version)

On 19 July 2021, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) opened the consultation on an updated UK digital identity and attributes trust framework. The consultation will close on 13 September 2021. While the alpha version of the framework concerned the rules and standards regarding the use of digital identities in general, the second consultation targets three main areas. They include the general creation of trustworthy digital identifications, interactions with governmental data as well as a governance system for the area of digital identities.
