Entry into force of amendment to Network Act including content moderation requirements
On 10 December 2020, Law No. 17358, amending the Network Act (Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection) to prevent digital sex crimes, entered into force with a grace period until 31 January 2021. In particular, the Law requires information network service providers to submit a report on the actions implemented to prevent the distribution of illegally filmed materials depicting sexually exploitative materials. The providers are required to submit the report by 31 January 2021.
