Adopted common understanding under Japan-Germany ICT Policy Dialogue in AI, cybersecurity, and disinformation

On 18 March 2023, Japan and Germany held a meeting as part of the Japan-Germany Information Communications Technology (ICT) Policy Dialogue between the Japan Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Takeaki Matsumoto and the German Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport Volker Wissing. During the meeting, both countries agreed to further collaboration in emerging technologies such as 6G and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity through the construction of secure communication networks, and knowledge-sharing about countering disinformation.
