Implemented Executive Order 23-06 to Protect State Information and Communications Technology from the Influence of Adversarial Foreign Governments

On 9 February 2023, Executive Order 23-06 to Protect State Information and Communications Technology from the Influence of Adversarial Foreign Governments was implemented. The Executive Order required the Office of State Procurement (OSP) and the Division of Information Systems (DIS) to implement Guidance requiring all State Executive Agencies to delete TikTok from state devices. Additionally, future installation of TikTok and access to it through state networks must also be blocked. The OSP and the DIS will oversee the implementation of the Order and will be required to complete a review of any communication software or other materials that might pose a risk to Arkansas.
