Implemented North Carolina Department of Information Technology Guidance on the Use of High-Risk Applications

On 27 March 2023, the Guidance on the Use of High-Risk Applications implementing Executive Order 276 Prohibiting Use of Certain Applications or Websites on State Information Technology enters into force. The Guidance required State Agencies to prohibit the installation and use of TikTok and WeChat on State information technology. Furthermore, the State Agencies are required to restrict future installation and access to the technologies through state networks must be blocked.
