Adopted North Carolina Department of Information Technology Guidance on the Use of High-Risk Applications

On 26 January 2023, the North Carolina Department of Information Technology adopted the Guidance on the Use of High-Risk Applications implementing Executive Order 276 Prohibiting Use of Certain Applications or Websites on State Information Technology. The Guidance requires State Agencies to prohibit installing and using TikTok and WeChat on State information technology. The State Agencies and employees are required to comply with the Guidance within 60 days.
