Adopted Guidance for Sharing and Disclosure of Information on Damage from Cyberattacks

On 8 March 2023, the Cybersecurity Council Operation Committee, established under the Cybersecurity Council of Japan, released the Guidance for Sharing and Disclosure of Information on Damage from Cyberattacks. The Guidance offers practical advice to departments responsible for addressing cyber attacks within organisations on how to share information with cybersecurity organizations. The Cybersecurity Council of Japan intends to encourage the use of this guidance among relevant organizations, promote awareness of the significance of information sharing, and continually update the guidance to ensure its continued relevance in the dynamic cyber threat environment.
