On 14 December 2022, the Governor of the State of New Hampshire signed Executive Order 2022-09 prohibiting the use of certain foreign technologies on state IT infrastructure and networks. The list of banned foreign technologies includes Huawei Technologies, ZTE Corp, Hytera Communications Corporation, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company, Dahua Technology Company, Tencent Holdings, Tencent QQ, QQ Wallet, WeChat, Alibaba, Alipay, and TikTok. Within 30 days of the Order's signing, all state executive agencies are required to delete any of the above-listed technologies from state devices and remove any relevant hardware from state networks. Additionally, future installation of these technologies as well as access to the technologies through state networks, will be prohibited. Finally, the Statewide Cybersecurity and Awareness training program is required to be amended to include the risks posed by foreign technologies.
