Issued Data Protection Authority ruling in investigation into Intellexa

On 13 January 2022, the Greek Data Protection Authority issued a ruling regarding its investigation into Intellexa SA, an intelligence system provider. Intellexa is found to have used tracking software on users' devices to surveil them purposely without their knowledge. Additionally, the data collected was processed for Intellexa's own uses. Finally, during the investigation, Intellexa did not reply promptly to the authority's questions nor did it provide satisfactory answers. As a result, Intellexa has been fined a sum of EUR 50'000.
