Introduction of Telecommunications Legislation Amendment (International Production Orders) Bill 2020

The Telecommunications Legislation Amendment (International Production Orders) Bill 2020 is introduced to the Australian House of Representatives. The proposed Amendment aims to Australian agencies to gain reciprocal cross-border access to foreign communications data for law enforcement purposes. It further seeks to remove the ability for nominated Administrative Appeals Tribunal members to issue certain warrants.
