Information Regulator invites exemption applications

The South African Information Regulator published the guidance on awarding exemptions from the conditions for the lawful processing of personal data. Exemptions may be granted to processors who can demonstrate that processing personal information is in the public interest or brings clear benefits to the data subject. Applications for such exemptions may now be filed via an online form hosted by the regulator.
