European Union: Announced EU-Thailand Partnership and Cooperation Agreement including Personal Data and Privacy Protection

On 2 September 2022, the European Union and Thailand announced that they have finalised the text of the EU-Thailand Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA). The parties aim to strengthen the political dialogue on issues of mutual interest in a wide number of policy areas, including personal data and privacy protection. The parties stated their intention to cooperate to ensure a high level of personal data and privacy protection.
