Closed consultation on UK-South Korea FTA modernisation including a Digital Trade Chapter

On 2 February 2023, the consultation concerning the modernisation of the Free Trade Agreement between the United Kingdom (UK) and South Korea was closed. Among others, UK Department for International Trade sought comments from the public on the possible negotiation of a Digital Trade Chapter in the context of the FTA, considering that the Electronic Commerce Chapter currently in force covers issues that are limited in scope compared to both countries’ more recent trade agreements.
