Adopted Decree on price indication including consumer protection regulation

On 30 November 2022, the Decree on Price Indication was adopted. The Decree aims to protect consumers by targeting misleading or fake prices. In particular, the new rules establish that any discount must be given to consumers on the lowest price that was charged over a 30-day period prior to the discount. The Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) will enforce the new rules which will enter into force on 1 January 2023.
