Announced UK and Ukraine Digital Trade Agreement including interoperability requirements

On 30 November 2022, the United Kingdom and Ukraine announced that they had reached an agreement in principle on Digital Trade (DTA). The DTA includes provisions to ensure the interoperability of digital systems. In particular, under the agreement, the national standardisation authorities and the non-governmental entities will collaborate to develop standards and conformity assessment requirements relating to digital trade. Furthermore, the DTA aims to enable the interoperability of electronic authentication, electronic signatures and digital invoicing.
