On 20 March 2023, the United Kingdom and Ukraine signed a Digital Trade Agreement (DTA) aiming to support Ukraine's economy and enhance trade in digital goods and services between both countries. The DTA includes provisions to ensure the interoperability of digital systems. In particular, under the DTA, the national standardisation authorities and the non-governmental entities will collaborate to develop standards and conformity assessment requirements relating to digital trade. Furthermore, the DTA aims to enable the interoperability of electronic authentication, electronic signatures and digital invoicing.
