On 28 November 2022, the European Union and the Republic of Korea adopted the EU-Republic of Korea Digital Partnership. The treaty enshrines the Parties' political commitment to a set of shared values and objectives connected to the development of a digital society. Standardisation is one of the key areas for which joint actions are outlined in the treaty. The Parties commit to collaborating in standard development regarding semiconductor chips' security, high-performance computing and quantum technologies, 6G networks, and artificial intelligence.
