France: Accepted proposal for minimum book delivery prices

On 23 September 2022, the French Ministers of Economy and of Culture accepted the proposal on a minimum fee on book delivery by Arcep (Electronic Communications, Postal and Print media distribution Regulatory Authority). Arcep proposed to set this minimum fee at EUR 3, VAT included, per parcel on all orders of less than EUR 35. This proposal was the result of public consultations with the stakeholders. The Ministers announced that France will notify the European Commission to ask for an opinion on this draft Order. If accepted, the minimum pricing will come into effect after 6 months.
