China: Opened consultation on draft Provisions on Administrative Law Enforcement Procedures for Internet Information Departments

On 8 September 2022, the Cyberspace Administration of China requested public comments on its draft Provisions on Administrative Law Enforcement Procedures for Internet Information Departments. Particularly, the public is invited to submit comments on the procedures concerning cyber security provisions enforcement, the conduct of investigations, and the imposition of administrative penalties. The draft rules provide that cyberspace administrative authorities shall observe the principles of fairness and openness and be subject to public oversight when imposing administrative sanctions. The consultation is open for comments until 8 October 2022.
