South Africa: Published draft data and cloud policy includes increase in cybersecurity regulation

The South African Department of Communications releases its Draft National Data and Cloud Policy for written submissions. The draft aims to increase awareness of cybersecurity, provide for enforcement and sanctions against cybercrimes through new legislation, renew the National Cybersecurity Policy Framework where necessary and use it as guide for the implementation of initiatives and measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availibility.
