South Africa: Closed consultation for Data & Cloud Policy includes increase in cybersecurity regulation

The public consultation for the Draft National Data and Cloud Policy is closed. The draft aims to increase awareness of cybersecurity, provide for enforcement and sanctions against cybercrimes through new legislation, renew the National Cybersecurity Policy Framework where necessary and use it as guide for the implementation of initiatives and measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availibility.
