Introduced Personal Data Protection Law including cybersecurity requirements

On 18 January 2022, the Personal Data Protection Law was presented by the Cuban Council of State (Consejo de Estado). The Bill states that entities collecting and storing personal data would have to implement preventive and responsive security measures to ensure the protection of the data collected. Furthermore, the Bill would require entities to implement technical measures to allow for the processing of personal data in electronic form and notify the authorities of data breaches.
