Adoption of Regulation of Electronic Commerce (Amendment) Law including illegal content takedown requirement

On 1 July 2022, the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye adopted the Amendment to the Regulation of Electronic Commerce Law. The Act specifies that providers of e-commerce intermediary services will have to remove illegal content from the listings on their platform, including advertisements on goods infringing property rights and notify the competent authorities and the right holder.
