Implementation of illegal content takedown requirement outlined in Regulation of Electronic Commerce Law

On 1 January 2023, the obligation for “electronic commerce intermediary service providers” to remove illegal content outlined in the Regulation of Electronic Commerce Law is implemented. The Act requires e-commerce providers to take down illegal content from the listings on their platform, including advertisements on goods infringing property rights and notify the competent authorities and the right holder.
