Chile: Signed DFL3 Law No. 19.496 including consumer protection in online commercial activities

On 13 September 2019, Decree with Force of Law (DFL) No. 19.496, which establishes Rules on the Protection of Consumer Rights, was signed into law. Article 3(b) regulates the right of consumers to truthful and timely information about the goods and services offered, their price, the terms of the contract and other relevant information. The provision is applicable to consumers engaged in online commercial activities.
