Announced investigation of Uber by Italian Data Protection Authority

On 13 December 2018, the Italian Data Protection Authority announced an investigation of Uber B.V. due to the possible mismanaging of user and employee personal data. Particularly, the Authority suspects that Uber processed such data without explicit consent from the users and did not notify its drivers or riders of necessary privacy notices.
