India: Closed consultation on National Data Governance Framework Policy

On 11 June 2022, the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology closed the public consultation on the draft National Data Governance Framework Policy. The draft policy proposes the creation of an initiative regarding datasets of non-personal of citizens for use by governmental and private organisations to enhance services. It further covers the processes and standards that must be followed to guarantee that non-personal and anonymised data from both government and commercial entities is safely available to the research and innovation ecosystem.
