Description

Consultation on data storage and processing infrastructure security and resilience closed

On 7 August 2022, the UK Government's Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport closed its call for views on data storage and processing infrastructure security and resilience. The deadline for submitting comments was extended from 24 July 2022 to 7 August 2022. Noting the UK's reliance on large-scale data storage and processing infrastructure, such as data centres, cloud platforms, and managed service providers, the Department has intended for the call for views to provide help in creating a new risk management framework. In three parts, the call for views has asked about the risks to UK data storage and processing infrastructure, security and resilience measures of data centres, and the customer base of infrastructure providers.
