Implemented Cybersecurity Law including digital identification requirement

On 1 June 2017, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China adopted the Cybersecurity Law, which includes a digital identification requirement. Specifically, the law requires network operators providing network access, domain name registration, phone network access, publication, and instant messaging services to require users to provide real identity information before giving them access to services.
