Implementation of new measures on foreign direct investment for broadcasting

On 2 February 2021, Indonesia issued Presidential Regulation No. 10/2021. Under this regulation, Indonesia liberalized the foreign investment in the tv and radio broadcastings, newspapers, and news agency industries by allowing the foreign investment with a cap of a maximum of 20%. Prior to this regulation, foreign investors were banned to make investments in the media, pers, and news agency industries.
