Implementation of amendment creating criminal liability for child sexual abuse material
On 22 September 2021, the Act criminalizing the distribution and possession of child sexual abuse instructions was signed and enters into force after its publication in the German Federal Law Gazette on 21 September 2021. The Act introduces criminal liability for the distribution and possession of such content, individuals found guilty will face imprisonment for up to three years or a fine.
