On 7 April 2022, the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) opened a consultation for the revision of its Consumer Protection Guidelines until 2 May 2022. The agency noted that the evolution of the digital space requires a revision of the guidelines, especially regarding fair online purchases. The agency thus requests consumer and market participant feedback, including on manipulative and covert strategies to enhance purchases and potential countermeasures such as requirements for clear information.
