Colorado House Bill 22-1099 including digital identification requirement adopted

On 7 March 2022, Colorado House Bill 22-1099, "concerning mandatory disclosures of third-party sellers selling through online market places", has been passed by the Colorado Senate and will be sent to the Governor for signing. The Bill would require high volume third-party sellers on online marketplaces, defined as sellers who, over a continuous twelve month period, have made at least 200 discrete sales for total revenue of at least 5000 USD using a specific online marketplace, to provide the online marketplace with information, including bank details and contact information. The Bill would enter into force on 1 January 2023, unless subjected to a referendum at the November 2022 general election.
