Indonesia: Meta appeared for inspection with Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs regarding compliance with age verification requirements

On 7 April 2026, Meta attended an inspection with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs in relation to compliance with age verification requirements under Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 on Child Protection in Electronic Systems. During the inspection, Meta provided responses to a 29-question inquiry concerning user protection obligations and signed the official record of the proceedings. The Ministry noted that the findings would be examined further.
