Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs issued second notice to Meta over suspected non-compliance with age verification requirements

On 2 April 2026, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs issued a second notice to Meta, including Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, after it failed to comply with the first requests or inspection regarding compliance with Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 on Child Protection in Electronic Systems.
