Live Nation Entertainment reached settlement with Department of Justice in antitrust lawsuit

On 9 March 2026, Live Nation Entertainment announced a settlement with the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) to resolve an antitrust lawsuit concerning alleged monopolistic practices in concert promotion and ticketing. Under the settlement, Live Nation will divest 13 exclusive booking agreements with amphitheaters nationwide and ensure that its owned amphitheaters remain accessible to all promoters, who may promote up to 50% of tickets. Ticketing service fees will be capped at 15%, and all amphitheaters currently owned by Live Nation will remain under company ownership and operation. Ticketmaster, a wholly owned subsidiary of Live Nation, will provide both exclusive and non-exclusive ticketing options for major concert venues. The settlement does not include a financial component, and it does not resolve all claims from all plaintiffs. While the official settlement has not yet been released, the terms align with the previously published term sheet.
