Ministry of Public Security opened consultation on Law on the Prevention and Control of Cybercrime including fair marketing and advertising requirement

On 31 January 2026, the Ministry of Public Security opened a public consultation on the Law on the Prevention and Control of Cybercrime until 2 March 2026. Article 33 prohibits intentionally misleading the public through the fabrication of user reviews, fake transactions, or damaging the business reputation of others. It also prohibits creating fake customers or transactions to obtain online coupons or subsidies.
