Provisions regarding intimate image-related offences in Data (Use and Access) Act enter into force

On 6 February 2026, the new intimate image-related offences in the Data (Use and Access) Act enter into force, as specified by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2026. The Act includes an amendment to the Sexual Offences Act 2003 to create the new offences of creating or requesting the creation of a purported intimate image of an adult.
