United States of America: Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 (HR7148) including extension of Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 was introduced to House of Representatives

On 20 January 2026, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 (HR7148), which includes an extension of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 (CISA), was introduced to the House of Representatives. The Appropriations Act would extend the applicability of CISA, which establishes a framework for private entities and government agencies to share information about cyber threat indicators, until 30 September 2026. Currently, CISA is set to expire on 30 January 2026.
