Poland: Parliament adopted Bill implementing the Digital Services Act and designating national competent authorities

On 18 December 2025, parliament adopted the Bill amending the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means and certain other acts implementing the Digital Services Act, which will now be sent to the President for signing. The Bill applies to providers of intermediary services operating within Poland, and it establishes a domestic supervision and enforcement framework for the Digital Services Act. The proposed Bill would designate the President of the Office of Electronic Communications as the Digital Services Coordinator, allocate sector-specific responsibilities to other national authorities, and establish procedures for the handling of complaints, the issuance of orders concerning illegal content, and the imposition of administrative sanctions.
