Cyberspace Administration announced submission timeline for audit reports on compliance with Regulations on Protection of Minors on the Internet

On 29 December 2025, the Cyberspace Administration of China announced the timeline for submitting annual compliance audit reports under the Regulations on the Protection of Minors on the Internet. Article 37 requires personal information processors to conduct yearly audits of their handling of minors’ personal data and to submit the audit report to the municipal-level cyberspace administration by the end of January each year via the “Personal Information Protection Business System”. Non-compliance may lead to legal consequences. The announcement is issued pursuant to the Personal Information Protection Law and the Measures for the Administration of Compliance Audits on Personal Information Protection.
