Description

Artificial Intelligence Bill including tax benefits for artificial intelligence was reintroduced to Congress

On 28 July 2025, the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation resubmitted the Artificial Intelligence Bill including tax benefits for artificial intelligence to Congress. The Artificial Intelligence Bill provides tax benefits for science, technology and innovation projects that develop artificial intelligence-based solutions or adopt artificial intelligence to enhance production processes. It requires the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, in coordination with the National Council of Tax Benefits, to adopt prioritisation criteria governing access to these tax benefits. The criteria must promote technology transfer to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, support science and technology-based ventures in artificial intelligence, and ensure transparency, objectivity and proportionality through verifiable parameters and the public disclosure of applicable criteria and results.
