Artificial Intelligence Bill including worker protection regulation was reintroduced to Congress

On 28 July 2025, the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation resubmitted the Artificial Intelligence Bill including worker protection regulation to Congress. The Artificial Intelligence Bill requires employers implementing artificial intelligence systems that may cause job displacement or substantial transformation of job functions to adopt preventive retraining, relocation or training plans for affected workers, aligned with just transition guidelines and respecting human dignity. Compliance is monitored by the Ministry of Labor through inspection, surveillance and control, and the Ministry of Labor, in coordination with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, may issue technical guidance to support implementation.
