Denmark: Ministry of Culture opened consultation on Act amending Copyright Act and Act on Radio and Television Broadcasting

On 10 December 2025, the Ministry of Culture opened a consultation on a draft proposal for an Act amending the Copyright Act and the Act on Radio and Television Broadcasting until 9 January 2026. The proposal would amend the Act on Radio and Television Broadcasting to prohibit the manufacturing, importing, and marketing of equipment, software, or any other technical solution whose purpose is to provide unauthorised access to encrypted content subject to technical access restrictions. Further, the use of such equipment, software, or technical solutions for obtaining such unauthorised access would also be prohibited in relation to both commercial and private usage.
