On 26 November 2025, the Cyberspace Administration of China issued a ruling in its investigation into group-broadcast accounts over alleged dissemination of vulgar content on live streaming platforms, following its 26 October 2025 announcement of a two-month special campaign on rectification of abnormal live-streaming tipping practices targeting vulgar reward-inducing content, false personas, inducement of minors to offer rewards, and stimulation of irrational user rewards, with local administrations instructed to intensify enforcement and platforms required to standardise tipping rules. The Cyberspace Administration of China reported that accounts including “HN-Three Lives Fireworks,” “Top-Chang’an City,” and “YC-Hot Dance Youth 6.0” used revealing clothing, sexually suggestive gestures, and wet-clothing displays to induce tipping and were permanently banned or suspended. It further reported that accounts including “Heartbeat Girl,” “So Many Cousins,” and “YZB Girl Group” used offensive punishments and obscene noises to induce donations, and that accounts including “Vibe-002,” “Yi Jiangnan-Harem,” and “Azure Coast” used gift-ranking displays and camera focus on sensitive areas to induce votes and tips, with all such accounts legally banned or permanently suspended.
