European Union: European Commission opened consultation on investigation into acquisition of Interpublic Group of Companies by Omnicom

On 29 October 2025, the European Commission announced an investigation into the acquisition of Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG, located in the United States) by Omnicom (US), at the same time opening a consultation until 8 November 2025. The investigation follows the Commission's receipt of a notification regarding the merger on 20 October 2025. The merger parties are active in advertising development and sales, as well as marketing and communication services.
