On 1 January 2026, the Transportation Network Companies - Weekly Fare and Earnings Summary and Operator Data Reporting Act (HB 861) enters into force. This Act mandates transparency and reporting obligations for transportation network companies (TNCs) offering ride-hailing services via digital applications. In the final adopted version of the Act, TNCs must provide drivers, referred to as "operators," with a weekly summary of total fares collected by the TNC, fares earned by the operator, and information about additional fees charged and earned.
