On 30 October 2025, the California Attorney General reached a USD 530’000 settlement with Sling TV LLC over alleged violations of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The settlement applies to streaming services and connected television providers offering paid or ad-supported internet-based content. Under the agreement, Sling TV must pay USD 530,000 in civil penalties, simplify its opt-out process, and provide an opt-out mechanism within applications on living-room devices.
