European Union and Indonesia announced Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, including data protection regulation

On 18 July 2016, the European Union (EU) announced negotiations with Indonesia on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The negotiations were initiated with the objective of facilitating and creating new market access, increasing trade and investment flows between the EU and Indonesia, and promoting sustainable development.
