Brazil: President signed Provisional Measure No. 1319 establishing implementation date for Law on protection of children and adolescents in digital environments

On 17 September 2025, the President adopted Provisional Measure No. 1319, which was published on 18 September 2025. The Provisional Measure states that Law No. 15211 on the protection of children and adolescents in digital environments will now come into force six months after the date of its publication, rather than the original twelve-month deferral period. The measure enters into force on the date of its publication.
